June, another beautiful month upon us here in the Maritimes, full of new possibilities. Anything is possible, if you believe it to be so.
Remember the great video, 'I'm Tabitha And I'm A Maker'?
The video was shot and created by the New Brooklyn Media team and funded by Digital Nova Scotia.
Well that video has been embedded into a 'Virtual Reality 180° space led by 360LAB° Inc. This forward thinking company creates fully immersive storytelling experiences in the 360°, 180° and Virtual Reality space.
Their specialty is their creativity, craftsmanship and the ability to bring a more engaging storytelling experience to life. To feel fully immersed in this revolutionary technology you will need to wear an oculus headset or in simple terms, space like looking gaming goggles.
This experience allows you to feel like you are actually here, immersed in my Pictou, Nova Scotia studio space watching me create some of my bespoke pieces that are handmade one at a time. How cool is that?!
A second best experience can be from your device as you log into your YouTube account, follow 360LAB° Inc., and 'Like' the TABITHA + CO™ VR180° experience.
Let us know what you think and share with your friends.

May is one of my favourite months of the year. How about you?! It's a time of rebirth and newness. With the spring rain and the warmth of the sunshine, everything starts to awaken from the long winter...And oh what a winter it was for Nova Scotians.
One of my favourite spring flowers is the Mayflower. Do you have a favourite spring flower?
I am looking forward to seeing you at some upcoming pop-up events and craft shows this spring and summer. For your review I have added the company posters for the two events this month. You can obtain more details on the company website under 'Find Tab'. This page is continually being updated as things are added or dates changed.
You will also find on the 'Find Tab' page a new feature button added to book an in-person appointment with me at my work space studio in Pictou, Nova Scotia.
This is a new application, thanks for your patience as I work through the process. There are a few weekdays and evenings to start. This schedule will evolve as time goes on. If the posted days/times aren't convenient for you, please send me a direct message, so we can work around your day or evening schedule. This button feature is also located on the 'Contact Tab' page too.
Thanks for your continued support everyone, it does make a difference!

Have you read the recent story about TABITHA + CO™ written by Laura Churchill Duke and published digitally with SaltWire.com? I think that she did an amazing job sharing some of my entrepreneurial journey. Let us know what you think!
True story....how one story opens conversation to other fascinating stories....I didn't know about this recent story release being in the Chronicle Herald this month, as the story was discussed well before the holidays.
I received an interesting call from Elizabeth Schwarzer living in Musquodobit Harbour a few days ago. Elizabeth shared her excitement about reading the recent story on February 15th in the Chronicle Herald newspaper. The story brought her back to a time in her youth as a leather apprenticeship in Germany at the age of 15. For a 3-month probationary period she learned the importance of dusting off the leather each morning, repairing suitcase corners, leather bag handles and sales.
She held many positions in the fine leather craft making industry in the early 1960's..
Working in Barcelona with Loewes in her youth and so much more. Elizabeth has already made plans to visit with me later this March, to share more of her extraordinary stories. I can't wait to meet her in person!
My advice, take time, listen to stories shared by friends, family and strangers. It is during these special moments, we realize just how connected we all are.

Do you have your holiday shopping completed?! If you are looking to add a TAB Collection™ piece to your wardrobe, please reach out or gently poke a loved one to subtly hint that you have a design style in mind for the holidays. Please keep in mind that I personally make each bag. This does take time and with only 38 days remaining until Christmas this gap is closing in quickly. Orders are taken on a first come first serve basis. I will do my very best to accommodate all inquiries, however I will kindly remind everyone that each bag is made with love, not manufactured and does take time.
Please reach out by email or call, if you wish to visit with me for an in person visit to place your order or see what is available in stock and NEW. Over the next few weeks I will be popping up at various locations, perhaps this is an opportunity to view the bags in person, purchase or pick-up your order.

I have a little 'Throwback Story' to share!
In August, 2021, I had the fortunate opportunity to have TABITHA + CO™ featured in Shoutout LA ~ Voyage LA Magazine.
One of the reasons for agreeing to this featured opportunity was that this digital magazine highlights rising artists, creatives and many others that take a leap of faith in their abilities, step outside of their comfort zone and take a risk, while doing their best to make a difference for others.
Shoutout LA's mission is to feature more about the extraordinary life stories of everyday humans, their journeys, struggles, values and sharing their background story with the hopes that these stories will resonate with the readers, in turn, building stronger communities of support and awareness to support local.
Here is a glimpse of the interview:
Mike Bhand: Hi Tabitha, what do you attribute your success to?
Me: Success can be measured or viewed in many ways. For me personally, I would have to say that my success is that I believed in my own capabilities. I took a risk to follow my passion of design and started my company, TABITHA + CO™. This journey has certainly been faced with many challenges and lots of learning along the way. Each experience, good and bad throughout my life, was preparing me for where I am now, all of which I am grateful for....
Mike Bhand: Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Me: Are you ready to go on a holiday?! Close your eyes and imagine this!...........
To read the full story link HERE ~
I hope that this little interview touches you in some way and who knows....Perhaps your next travel adventure will bring you to Nova Scotia, Canada.

Have you heard of Fabrique 1840?
Fabrique 1840 was inspired by the Canadian Crafts Federation, a more than 100 year old national network that showcases pieces from the east coast to west and north to south, exploring Canada's creative wealth through the work of 70 professional craftspeople, including TABITHA + CO™.
You will find unique jewellery, decorative accessories, and utilitarian objects that have been meticulously handcrafted by creators from across Canada that will enrich your everyday life with art and authenticity. Raw materials, like leather are transformed into durable, one-of-a-kind items that tell a story - the story of modern material culture.
“We are delighted that this partnership is bringing the best of all participants together: professional artists, community engagement, an excellent market, and most of all - incredible work from craft artists across the country. Craft speaks for itself, but the story it tells is broad and meaningful. Buying craft is about more than a purchase - it becomes part of your personal collection, your personal story. Connecting with craft makes a difference, and the CCF is here to help connect people to that purpose.” ~ Maegen Black, Director, Canadian Crafts Federation.
The Fabrique 1840 is presented by the National Bank of Canada in collaboration with the Canadian Crafts Federation, together providing valuable support that helps local businesses grow and, in turn, enrich our communities and our art, creating a strong network of mutual promotion and recognition.
Fabrique 1840 Virtual Market is open until October 31st at simons.ca
Enjoy exploring the creative work that these talented craftspeople have to offer!
