It’s been awhile since my last post. A lot has happened since the last correspondence regarding Dorothée Rosen’s visit in July; which I might add was a big success in the new studio work space! Thank you to those that stopped by to meet with Dorothée and view her beautiful pieces of fine jewelry. You can find Dorothée this week at the Art Market Art & Craft Sale in Calgary and in Saint John, NB for the Craft NB Christmas Festival show the first weekend in December. These two holiday markets are on my bucket list of places to pop up. What do you think of that idea for 2023?
With the winter market season well under way, I have been a busy little sewing bee working on holiday orders and preparing for the Craft Nova Scotia Winter Show, happening this weekend at Pavilion 22 and the Halifax Crafters Winter Market, December 2nd ~ 4th.
If time does not permit for you to attend one of the above upcoming winter holiday markets, you can visit with me at the workspace studio. Call or text ahead to ensure that I am in the space. I am usually in the studio well into the late evenings leading up to Christmas.
I look forward to greeting you at the shows or in the studio before the holidays. You can view the NEW pieces made since last year. With kindness and gratitude, Tab XO

#VirtualRealityTour #360LAB #MadeInNovaScotia May is one of my favourite months of the year. How about you?! It's a time of rebirth and newness. With the spring rain and the warmth of the sunshine, everything starts to awaken from the long winter...And oh what a winter it was for Nova Scotians. Have you read the recent story about TABITHA + CO™ written by Laura Churchill Duke and published digitally with SaltWire.com? I think that she did an amazing job sharing some of my entrepreneurial journey. Let us know what you think!
True story....how one story opens conversation to other fascinating stories....I didn't know about this recent story release being in the Chronicle Herald this month, as the story was discussed well before the holidays. I received an interesting call from Elizabeth Schwarzer living in Musquodobit Harbour a few days ago. Elizabeth shared her excitement about reading the recent story on February 15th in the Chronicle Herald newspaper. The story brought her back to a time in her youth as a leather apprenticeship in Germany at the age of 15. For a 3-month probationary period she learned the importance of dusting off the leather each morning, repairing suitcase corners, leather bag handles and sales. She held many positions in the fine leather craft making industry in the early 1960's.. Working in Barcelona with Loewes in her youth and so much more. Elizabeth has already made plans to visit with me later this March, to share more of her extraordinary stories. I can't wait to meet her in person! My advice, take time, listen to stories shared by friends, family and strangers. It is during these special moments, we realize just how connected we all are. ~ Tabitha XO As we all welcome 2022 with much hope and new possibilities. I am thrilled to finally share the amazing work by New Brooklyn Media Inc. I feel that this dynamic team of storytellers and film makers truly captured the essence of my work and values.… I’m Tabitha and I’m a maker! Let us know what you think! If you are looking to add a TAB Collection™ piece to your wardrobe, please reach out or gently poke a loved one to subtly hint that you have a design style in mind for the holidays. Please keep in mind that I personally make each bag. This does take time and with only 38 days remaining until Christmas this gap is closing in quickly. Orders are taken on a first come first serve basis. I will do my very best to accommodate all inquiries, however I will kindly remind everyone that each bag is made with love, not manufactured and does take time. Please reach out by email or call, if you wish to visit with me for an in person visit to place your order or see what is available in stock and NEW. Over the next few weeks I will be popping up at various locations, perhaps this is an opportunity to view the bags in person, purchase or pick-up your order. #MadeNotManufactured #MadeInNovaScotia #BedfordNS #CraftNS #WinterPopUpShow Graphics credit: Skysail Brand Marketing & Design I have a little 'Throwback Story' to share! In August, 2021, I had the fortunate opportunity to have TABITHA + CO™ featured in Shoutout LA ~ Voyage LA Magazine. One of the reasons for agreeing to this featured opportunity was that this digital magazine highlights rising artists, creatives and many others that take a leap of faith in their abilities, step outside of their comfort zone and take a risk, while doing their best to make a difference for others. Shoutout LA's mission is to feature more about the extraordinary life stories of everyday humans, their journeys, struggles, values and sharing their background story with the hopes that these stories will resonate with the readers, in turn, building stronger communities of support and awareness to support local. Here is a glimpse of the interview: Mike Bhand: Hi Tabitha, what do you attribute your success to? Me: Success can be measured or viewed in many ways. For me personally, I would have to say that my success is that I believed in my own capabilities. I took a risk to follow my passion of design and started my company, TABITHA + CO™. This journey has certainly been faced with many challenges and lots of learning along the way. Each experience, good and bad throughout my life, was preparing me for where I am now, all of which I am grateful for.... Mike Bhand: Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to? Me: Are you ready to go on a holiday?! Close your eyes and imagine this!........... To read the full story link HERE ~ https://shoutoutla.com/meet-tabitha-co-she-her-founder-owner/ I hope that this little interview touches you in some way and who knows....Perhaps your next travel adventure will bring you to Nova Scotia, Canada. ~ Tabitha XO Special mention: Duane Jones, Art Pays Me Meg Craig, Skysail Brand Marketing & Design Valérie Leduc Photography Karla MacFarlane, MLA Pictou West Author Sarah Butland, Maritime EDIT Magazine #TABITHACO #MindfullyMade #PremiumLeatherGoods
