Your TABITHA + CO™ bag/accessory is meant to be used wholeheartedly throughout its lifetime; however, as with all leather products your bag or purse will wear over time with repeated, daily use, giving it a worn-in aesthetic. The leather will soften with time + wear too.
We use beautiful all Natural Full Grain Italian and a New Zealand Nubuck leather, each having natural features that are designed to highlight the inherent characteristics of the leathers; it is an intentional design choice, bringing charm to your bag and minimizing your time spent on caring for the leather.
Applying a TABITHA + CO™ Leather Protector before using your new bag and with the change in seasons will provide the best possible protection for your bag. Before applying a protector to the entire area of your new bag/accessory, we suggest testing the area inside the bag or the complementary leather key tag.
Some natural leathers can be susceptible to soiling and staining. Less is more! First rule is do no harm. Simply, blot the stain immediately with a dry rag to absorb all moisture. Avoid rubbing the leather and spreading the liquid. A dry white cloth will suffice in most cases. If that doesn’t do the trick, add a little mild dish soap. We do not advise the use of harsh chemicals on your leather accessories.
Be mindful with clothes that have not been washed before wearing as some darker dyes can transfer to some lighter colours of leather.
There are several ways to give your bag or purse some extra TLC. Hang your bag or purse up when not in use.
